There is (#1) one thin friction disk, next to the clutch hub. There - after follows (#2) five thick disks. This Information is from Clymer. My factory manual agrees that (#1) disk is thin and (#2) disk is thick. However there is no mention that the number (#1) is next to the hub or that (#2) is plural such as disks. I feel that your Clymer's statement is accurate.
